Teen Dating Violence 

What is Teen Dating Violence? Teen Dating violence is the physical, sexual, or psychological/emotional abuse within a dating relationship amongst adolescents. 
This is not only an issue that impacts teens/adolescents.  It affects their parents, siblings, and friends.  Together, we can raise awareness on teen dating violence by continuing to provide preventative education; promoting healthy, safe relationships. 

  • Nationwide, youth ages 12-19 experience the highest rates of rape and sexual assault.

  • Adolescent girls in abusive relationships are 5 times more likely to become pregnant than girls in non-abusive relationships. 

  • Most victims murdered by their partners in the state of Georgia over the course of the last ten years began their relationship with their abuser between the ages of 13 and 24.
